’t Kabinet
Inspiring baroque wonder since 2014
Having been born into a dedicated public music series, ’t Kabinet never had to overly concern itself with crowd size, which continues to have an effect on our philosophy today. We believe that the music we play is good enough to stand on its own, outside the trappings of standard concert traditions. The music speaks to us, inspires us, converts us through the power of the notes themselves, mastered by those who have dedicated their lives to it. We neither play for the audience, nor do we play for ourselves - we play because the power of this music demands that it be played, the composers crying out to us from centuries ago to sound again. And so it is that we must share this gift, opening the doors of the wonderment that only 17th and 18th century music can instill, to all those who are ready to be engrossed with it as much as we are.
